Want to know what we sing about?

Well you can read all about it here.  the lyrics to each recorded song, explained and analysed

As The Crow Flies

I've been waiting for too long,
Nothing won

At times it's hard to just keep walking
At times it's easy to get lost

When they opened up the gate
Joints would not cooperate
Stuck at the threshold
Sufficiently consoled

Yes, I've seen the face of success as it ran past me
Such a pretty one but how looks deceive
And I've touched the hand of regret when it forgave me
Those kinds of touches I will never retrieve

At times it's hard to just keep walking
At times it's easy to get lost
These roads swerve, keep going as the crow flies
The end will always be reached, so carry on

Someone told me always try
He was no example why
Mourning my dead goals
Killed by my bleeding soul

Yes, I've seen the face of success as it ran past me
Such a pretty one but how looks deceive
And I've touched the hand of regret when it forgave me
Those kinds of touches I will never retrieve

At times this all seems irrelevant
Just a little twig in the dirt
I must realise how far its roots reach
They can take me everywhere I need

The road is long. We carry our mistakes along
Attempt to fly but even crows they die

Yes, I've seen the face of success as it ran past me
Such a pretty one but how looks deceive
And I've touched the hand of regret when it forgave me
Those kinds of touches I will never retrieve

What is this song about?

So, these lyrics, they're like a snapshot of my journey, a reflection on the waiting game in life. I've been waiting for something, anything, for what feels like forever, and sometimes it's just hard to keep pushing forward. The metaphor about joints not cooperating and being stuck at a threshold, represents obstacles of life that are in my way.  The part about success running past me and touching the forgiving hand of regret. It's a realization that success can be deceiving, and some regrets are just irreversible.
the song is a message - to you -, that despite the challenges, I encourage you to keep going, learn from mistakes, and embrace personal growth. It's like a deep reflection on the complexities of life.

Success might be elusive, and regret forgives in its own way, and yes sometimes it all feels irrelevant. Like, am I just a little twig in the dirt? But then, realize how far your roots reach; they can take you anywhere you need to go. Life is a journey, full of ups and downs, but you gotta keep on going.

Pro Patria Mori

Arise!
find courage in the hatred you’ve become
fix bayonets and stand against the wall
zero-hour approaches rapidly
Go forth my son and KILL!

the dreaded whistle calls
death awaits
a final curtain call
and death awaits

Dulce et decorum est
Pro patria mori

To die
your guts scattered across a foreign land
a picture of your sweetheart in your hand
another shell blows what is left (of you) away
the body count defiled

they’ll find some your bones
in a 100 years
buried in the soil
drenched with a 1000 tears

What is this song about?

So, obviously it's about war. I wanted to portray the brutal reality of war.
I wanted to highlight the harsh contrast between the romanticized notion of war and its brutal, devastating consequence, challenging the glorification of sacrifice with a stark and grim reality check.

Squidnunc

Swallowed whole
by the thing that you feared
Alienated!
It’s the price you pay for the hearsay
and your forked tongue slithering

Trapped now into the corner
there’s no escaping from consequences
Entangled into the web of foul intricacies
that you have woven

Your slimy tentacles
slither the darkness
in search of nourishment
feeding on the slander
festering like a deadly cancer

Trapped now into the corner

there’s no escaping from consequences

Entangled into the web of foul intricacies

that you have woven

They say
you hear
you speak hearsay
with words uncarefully chosen
your fingers burned
you shall be spurned
for the calamities you’ve set in motion

Sticks & stones
may break my bones
but it’s words that really harm thee
so slay the snake
burn her at the stake
and make her

Suffer, suffer in desolation! (x2)

Trapped now into a corner

What is this song about?

This was written while delving into my own experiences of being the victim of gossip. I wanted to give the 'enemy' a sense of being overwhelmed and consumed by his/her own fears and the consequences of spreading gossip. When this happened  I wanted to warn others about the price to be paid for spreading hearsay with a deceitful tongue. The chorus emphasizes on the feeling of being trapped in a corner, unable to escape the repercussions of one's actions. The imagery of slimy tentacles suggests that the perpetrator is guided by a sinister force seeking nourishment from the negative rumors and slander.  I wanted to touch upon the power of words, highlighting the lasting harm they can inflict, and point out the severe consequences I would inflict on those who engage in harmful speech.

Cauchemar

In dreams. My dreams. Sweet dreams

Getting impaled by your friend
cause-you-didn't-pay-the-rent
is not a punishment.
Spoils you reap.

You howl at the moon
and start licking at the wounds
on my face that you tore
What a great dream!

Close your eyes and let the show begin.
Manifest the story of your sins.

In dreams. My dreams. Sweet dreams

See how your lover's getting
fucked by your brother.
Go and applaud them for that
lovely scene.

In-the-lake you're about to drown,
it's-your-son that keeps you down.
soaking in sweat
you wake up dead!

Close your eyes and let the show begin.
Manifest your fears and you'll win.

If I one day I acquire
the power to inspire
your sleep,
you will see me!
Night won't seem to stop.
You will never more wake up.
Forever you will be with me
in my dreams

Sweet dreams!!!

What is this song about?

Well, nightmares obviously. I'm fascinated by what one dreams sometimes. It can be a absolute pleasure trip like a wet dream but the dark side of nightmares still baffles me. These lyrics actually written by Stefan Hex, the previous singer in the band.  They depict a dark and surreal dreamscape. it narrates a series of disturbing and nightmarish scenarios. The dreamer experiences bizarre and unsettling events and seems to revel in the macabre nature of the dreams, finding a certain pleasure in the twisted and morbid scenes.  The repeated encouragement to "close your eyes and let the show begin" suggests a fascination with the horrors unfolding in the dreamworld. The song concludes with a desire for the power to influence someone else's dreams, implying a desire for control over another's subconscious experiences. So the song's theme is about the exploration of dark and unsettling imagery within the realm of dreams.

A Bloodier Shade Of Pale

Having dinner with a double-D blonde,
soon her head will be a trophy for my wall
temptation just won’t leave me alone,
one look at her and I lose all self control

Collectables upon the trophy wall.
Eyes & Heads, I love to keep them all

Give a ride to a redhead in need.
Can’t help but wonder “how much will she bleed”
Her deep blue eyes just keep staring at me
from out the jar that’s on top of my TV

Collectables for the trophy wall.
Eyes & Heads, I love to keep them all
Formaldehyde and a few blacklights.
All labelled by the day they died

Behold, behold! This is my virgin kill
Behold, behold! Meet my highschool teacher
Behold, behold! These are your mother’s eyes
Behold, behold! An empty jar just for you!

I’ve got a confession to make
Yours is not the only life I will take
I’ve got a confession to make
I ate some of the corpses

Kneel before me.
for I am your God now.

I will turn your complexion
To a bloodier shade of pale!

I’ve got a confession to make
Yours is not the only life I will take
I’ve got a confession to make
I ate some of the corpses

What is this song about?

I've always been interested in serial killers.

So I wrote this disturbing and macabre story from the perspective of a killer who collects body parts as trophies.  He has a chilling obsession with violence and the act of taking lives, turning the victims into gruesome collectibles displayed on a trophy wall.
the song progresses into a darker tone as the killer claims  a godlike status, demanding others to kneel before him, and confessing to not only taking lives but also consuming some of the corpses.

The overall theme of this song revolves around a disturbed individual reveling in violence and death, creating a haunting narrative that explores the darkest aspects of the human psyche.

Whirlpool

Try to remember the best place you’ve been try to go there again
I close my eyes and I think bout the times that have blown my mind
Nothing so real like the things that I deal with in present times
The chokehold so cold, and the feeling morose spins me out of control

I create this turmoil in my mind
thoughts unbound are being flung by

I’m in a whirlpool, Whirlpool

Inside tension growing every day
like an animal I pace my cage
And the world it just keeps closing in
I need something, I feel the urge to kill
myself!

Try to remember the best place you’ve been try to go there again

I close my eyes and I think bout the times that have blown my mind
Nothing so real like the things that I deal with in present times
The chokehold so cold, and the feeling morose spins me out of control

What have I created again?
A whirlpool spinning inside of my head
question choices, burn at the stake?
impending doom ‘cause of a simple mistake

Inside tension growing every day

like an animal I pace my cage
And the world it just keeps closing in
I need something, I feel the urge to kill
you!

I’m in a whirlpool, Whirlpool(2x)

What is this song about?

I wanted to depict the intense emotions and inner struggles that many of you may relate to at some point in your lives. I used 'Whirpool' as a metaphor for the feeling of being trapped in a cycle of negativity and despair.  With imagery like pacing like an animal in a cage and the urge to harm oneself or others I wanted to evoke a sense of desperation and hopelessness.

Sometimes lIfe feels like an endless, relentless cycle of 'rinse and repeat'. We make mistakes and pay the concequences and than you need that straw to hold on to while your thoughts are racing like crazy to get ahead.

I hope that people who undergo those same feelings and suffer similar struggles can find a  sense of validation an understanding in these lyrics.

Whatever you are going through, no matter how bad or how deep you are falling remember:
You are not alone. There is always somone to cling to. And if you can't find that person.... talk to me.
I'll hold your hand to get you back up.
